History of San Diego Hmong Church (English)
Mr. Chong Yang Heu started the "San Diego Hmong Church" of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1976.
Our church began in November 1976. We had around 9 families, 40 members, gathered together to worship God at First Alliance Church. Mr. Chong Yang Heu was the one who led these family. Then in July 1984, they moved from First Alliance Church to Dawson Alliance Church. At this time, there were 40 families, 200 members.
On January 1993, members of the Dawson Alliance Church decided to sell the church. So the Hmong church members came to discuss, and decided to purchase Dawson Alliance Church. So on June 1993, the Hmong members purchased the church, which is named "The Hmong Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of San Diego".
